The Barn House

Take a break from city life and make yourself at home on our working cattle ranch, set on over 500 acres of lush grass and trails on Puget Island. Located just 90 minutes Northwest of Portland, Oregon in the quaint town of Cathlamet, Washington, our farm is the perfect getaway for anyone looking to slow down and unwind.

This beautifully restored, 100-year-old Cathlamet barn is the ideal accommodation for groups of all sizes. Sleeping between 4-18 guests, The Barn House offers two private bedrooms, one private loft and additional sleeping arrangements in its spacious living room. Enjoy a variety of ranch activities and amenities when you stay with us, including:

• Private waterfront/dock access. Kayaks, paddle boards and towels are included in your stay.
•  Large fire pit area for campfires. Please bring your own wood.
• Walking and biking paths throughout the farm and Puget Island.
• Horseback riding, pending availability. If you are interested in horseback riding during your stay, please contact the host when booking. An extra fee may apply.

This listing includes the 2,000 square foot Barnhouse apartment. It does not include access to the adjacent event space or downstairs event space. These areas are available to rent at an additional cost.

• Living areas in the barn require the ability to climb a flight of stairs.
  
• Participants in water and dock activity do so at their own risk. Water activity requires all participants to wear life jackets, which are located on the dock. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  
• Drinking alcoholic beverages or the use of any type of drugs are prohibited prior to or while participating in any water activities.
  
• Smoking is allowed at the fire pit only.
  
• For your safety, foot coverings are required for all guests, especially children, while outside of the Barnhouse.
  
• Please observe the signs around the farm for your own safety. We kindly ask that you not feed the animals for their own health.

A Working Cattle Ranch & Guests

Columbia River Ranch is a working cattle ranch so there may be cowboys or ranch hands on the property during your stay. You are welcome enjoy the areas around the barn house . We have animals on the farm . 

Guests have access to the fire pit and dock area but event space inside the barn (not including the apartment) is an additional fee for usage. All activities on the ranch are at the risk of the participant. The ranch is not responsible for accidents or injuries.

The adjacent farmhouse is often occupied by family, however your privacy is of utmost importance. We look forward to welcoming you to our ranch!
