Wedding FAQs

We are open year-round to host events. 

• Indoor Weddings  - January to December
• Outdoor Weddings  - May to October

We do not host weddings on holidays, including: 

• July 4th - Independence Day
• Labor Day Weekend
• Memorial Day Weekend
• Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day

We host a variety of weddings. Because of the number of various buildings on our property, we can accommodate various group sizes including:

• The Lower Event Barn  - 80 Guests (ADA Compliant) 
• The Upper Event Barn - 80 Guests
• Outdoor Seating & Dining - 200 guests (maximum)
• New Space Available in Summer of 2024 (ask for more details)

We are just a 30 minutes drive from Longview, WA; a 90 minute drive from Portland International Airport (PDX); and 2 1/2 hours drive from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). 

Yes! We are a working cattle ranch, Airbnb, and retreat site. Tours are given by appointment only. We hope to see you soon, but we ask you kindly not to visit without an appointment.

We require certain types of professional vendors to ensure your day is managed properly.  These vendors include:

• A "Day of Coordinator" for all weddings (you must provide)
• 1 - 2 Bartenders w/ WA State Liquor Licenses are required for events with certain types of alcohol. (We can recommend bartenders or you can hire your own).

You can choose to hire your preferred vendors or use one of our recommended vendors. 

If you would like to hire us to coordinate your event, just ask! We would love to help you. (Coordinator Fees Apply)

3pm Day Prior to 11pm Day of Wedding.

Our guests can expect to have up to 32 hours of time to set up, enjoy the wedding, and breakdown/clean up their event. You can plan this with your host or coordinator. 

Breakdown, cleanup and departure must be completed by 11pm. 

Yes. 

If you plan to serve alcohol at your wedding, we do require you to provide 1 or 2 bartenders w/ WA State Liquor Licenses. 

We can recommend bartenders or you can hire your own.

Yes. We work very hard to keep our barns and guest event areas looking good for all of our guests. We ask that you don't nail or tack things into our walls. 

We do have a large decoration supply room. You are welcome to ask if we have decorations that you can rent from us. 

Yes!  Depending on the size of your group, we can accommodate multiple people in our Barn House, Cottage, Cabins, and other options. 

Yes. We offer multiple spaces for hosting guests who have specific ADA needs. Just ask us for more information. 

Typically, no. 

Weddings, no. We want you to enjoy your day without any distractions. This is your day.

Events, maybe. We have multiple event barns available, so on a rare occasion, we may have two or three events taking place on the property. But rarely does this happen.

* If you would like to guarantee that there's no distractions for your event, ask us about renting the whole ranch for the day.

Yes. We have space available for up to 100 cars. We do recommend that guests carpool. 

We ask that you provide at least 2 parking attendants to help people find their way to parking. 

Generally, it is not recommended. Please ask us about this if you would like to bring your dog to an event held at our ranch and how it could affect the outcome of your event. 

Dogs & other personal pets are not allowed in the horse barns, goat/pig pens, or cattle holding barns, etc. Dogs are required to be on a leash at all times on our ranch. 

Yes! We have two options for your guests:

Enjoy the Ranch: 

• Relax, sit back, and enjoy the quiet of our location.

Enjoy Puget Island/Cathlamet:

• Go wine tasting.
• Visit local art galleries in Cathlamet and neighboring towns. 
• Hire a trusted salmon fishing guide with Fins N Feathers Outdoors or Top Guides Northwest and enjoy a day on the Columbia River catching salmon.
• Enjoy a drink at local brewery, River Mile 38 and watch the boats come into the marina.
• Explore the Lewis & Clark Trail system nearby. 
• Ride bicycles around Puget Island.
• Take the Ferry from Puget Island to Oregon and drive to Astoria, visit the coast, and cross back over into Washington making your way back to the ranch.
• The Julia Butler Hansen Refuge for the Columbian White-tailed Deer, is a beautiful piece of preservation along the Columbia River. Check it out.

Here in the PNW you can count on rain. 

We can accommodate your wedding inside and outside. We can work with you to arrange a backup plan if the weather creates a mess.
